Chiropractor Sharpsburg GA - Relief for Migraine Sufferers

migranesIn this video, Dr. Matthew Davis, director of Crossroads Chiropractic, shares important information from today’s news studies showing that chiropractic care helps migraines.

Migraines can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on just one side of the head. It's often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine attacks can cause significant pain for hours to days and can be so severe that the pain is disabling.

For some, there are warning signs that are referred to as, “Aura”, that may occur before or with the headache. These are exhibited as flashes of light, blind spots, or tingling on one side of the face or in your arm or leg.

The medical community prescribes strong medication for migraines which have lots of side effects. Although some of these medications may give instant relief, they can trigger a rebound migraine’ the next day.”

Dr Peter Tuchin, a chiropractor for the past 20 years undertook a randomized clinical trial using 123 chronic migraine sufferers (18 years on average).  Half of the participants received chiropractic care, while the other half, the control group, were told they were receiving a form of electrical physical therapy.

Both groups kept a record of their migraines noting how often they got them, how severe they were, how long they lasted, and if there was anything they could think of that contributed to them.

Defying historical skepticism of chiropractic by some medical practitioners, seventy-two per cent of these migraine sufferers experienced either ‘substantial’ or ‘noticeable’ improvement after a period of chiropractic care.

If you are looking for a safe drug free treatment for migraines, chiropractic is the best choice.
